Student Poetry Contest

Poetry, unlike any other form of written or spoken expression, is able to succinctly express the deepest of thoughts and emotions.

 

Our poetry contest is open to students in grades 5-12 in Public, Private or Home-school settings across the USA. Entries may be submitted in English, Spanish, or French *if in Spanish or French a translation must be submitted with the poem. 

One entry per student.

Entries must incorporate a creative component such as a "Blackout poetry" form as shown below. Poems must be part of the lesson found here.

Winning poem will receive $100 in cash and prizes for student, teacher & school!

We are a Georgia based non-profit consisting of Holocaust  & Human Rights educators specializing in bringing the importance of bearing witness by actively remembering to teachers and students in under-served communities (rural and inner-cities). To actively remember includes returning the humanity lost to the victims, advocating for democratic values and procedures, and promoting tolerance.
